West View is a fine late Victorian house set in 1/3rd acre of pretty gardens on the edge of the peaceful village of Bishops Lydeard, close to the picturesque Quantock Hills.
Our family home provides comfortable accommodation in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and is open all year (except Christmas Day).
A satisfying, full English breakfast is provided - just right for your day ahead. There are also 2 local Inns within a short walk, serving lunchtime and evening meals.
At the end of the day, the charming lounge with TV is ideal for relaxing in and planning your next day's exploring.
The area is ideal for walking, riding, fishing, golf and sailing. The spectacular heather clad hills of Exmoor and the Quantocks are close by.
Local attractions include the West Somerset Steam Railway, Hestercombe House & Gardens, Dunster Castle, Wimbleball Lake and almost on your doorstep is Bishops Lydeard station, where steam trains depart regularly to Minehead.
The sandy beaches of North Somerset and South Devon make an easy day trip. To the North, the Somerset Levels offer bird-watching, basket making, crafts and historical sites.
